We're a fun and funky family restaurant on the banks of the Brazos River specializing in Cajun and Creole cooking, we're happy to keep it spicy or make it milder if that's your preference. We've been voted the best seafood in town. We serve hot boiled crawfish and fresh oysters on the half shell when they're in season. Our server was Christopher. He was exceptional! Very polite, quick, great with the kids, and so very friendly. I haven't been to Buzzard Billie's in years, and I was in Waco visiting and it was amazing. I got the crescent city chicken and it was the best!! Great experience.. I can't wait to go back!
The gator fingers and armadillo eggs appetizers were great. Also the blacked chicken was good too. On the other hand service was terrible, food was cold and we were told the microwave broke down and that's why the food took so long. The "gumbo" tasted like canned gravy with Cajun spices added to it. The rice tasted like boil in a bag with parsley added. Our waiter, who we started timing, either sat at a table and chit chat to guests or stood by the table to chit chat for an average of 5 min. In the mean time we had no plates... read more

Fried gator tail was really good, but disappointed with the Crescent City Chicken... I ordered the Shrimp La Grange, but they were out?!? Probably will not come back here again...
Took my family there for my daughter's birthday on March 14, 2015. We've been before and liked it. There was a long wait to be seated although there were empty tables. Finally seated ordered our drinks/appetizers. Appetizers were good, but over an hour later our food was still not out. Spoke to "Tracy", who turned out to be the owner, about our food and after he goes to the kitchen our food suddenly appears. No apology, no follow up from manager or owner.
