the Buffington family was wonderful to us! We worked on our kiawah island project from new york via telephone and computer program. The Buffing tons took care of everything seamlessly for us with a minimal number of trips to S.C. on our part. Buffington Homes was our builder on Kiawah Island, SC. Our home was completed in 2000 & we built it "long distance" as we live full time in the Chicago area. I met Trevor Buffington on a 'House Tour' open house when we were about to embark on a major whole house renovation down to the studs. Buffington Homes is a well experienced, friendly family owned company and we immediately clicked with Trevor, Dan & Cathy Buffington, along with everyone associated with their company. Meticulous attention to detail in planning and execution, effective focus on cost containment, unafraid to tell us what we needed to hear, stands behind everything they and their teams do, spectacular results - all these attributes characterize Buffington Homes. If you're building on or near Kiawah, I'm not sure why you would choose any other company to build your home.
Dan Buffington built our home on Kiawah Island in 2003. We interviewed many builders and chose Buffington Homes as Dan understood our vision for a family home of the highest quality and he delivered on time and within budget. Buffington exceeds expectations in quality and integrity. They finished our home in 14 months - on time and on budget. The workmanship and detail were superb. The project was done with minimal supervision - we visited the project only three times during construction but we're keep current through photos on the website. The most important reference is that Buffington's word is there bond. You can trust them and rely upon them. Those traits are rare in today's world.
