This establishment holds the oldest liquor license in the state, and it has been in operation for more than a century. Serving since 1893, this national historic landmark has seen countless wild west icons having a meal here, including the legendary Buffalo Bill Cody. Be aware that the dining room walls are flanked by animal trophy heads, which some diners find as uncomfortably distracting. The menu offers some eye-opening fare such as rattlesnake, yak and fried alligator tail. If you prefer the traditional cuisine, tenderlo... read more

Good food good service. The elk tenderloin is juicy and tender. The buffalo stew is yummy, the Rocky Mountain oysters are lovely and the waiters and the waitress are friendly.
Fantastic local color kind of place. Great for entertaining clients. Excellent food and service. The atmosphere is amazing. Take the D train to get there from the convention center/ downtown area as it's cheaper than taxi or Uber.

The atmosphere is great as is the waitstaff. Everyone that works there is very friendly and accommodating. The fact that they have the first legal bar license in Denver is reason enough to visit. It reminds you of a Denver that was a little wilder and a little more rugged. The pictures on the wall and the other decorations are definitely worth the trip. However the food is not worth the price. I have had better cuts of meat for less at much better restaurants. Paying upwards of $50 for a cut of bison that has been poorly coo... read more
