My humerus was broken and completely displaced. The bones had actually dug into my biceps and tendons. So he went into surgery not knowing completely what he would need to do, yet was completely confident and made me feel at ease. He was proactive in getting a biopsy collected while doing the surgery. He detached the biceps and tendons and put in plates and screws and I am sure he did much more before having me all fixed up. I’m now almost 3 months postop and I see his PA, Kim, again today. Dr Cunningham was AMAZING, but the Erlanger system is horrible. Called numerous days to try to reschedule an appointment and was kept on hold for over 20” until I finally had to hang up. Not sure who is in charge of staffing but it is surely not efficient.
My ankle was broken and foot dislocated, I was referred to Cunningham due to trauma, this has been the worse experience. I met him 5 minutes prior to surgery after anesthesia, i never got a consultation with him, my post surgery appointment where I finally got to see him was just as bad, appt was 12:45 he came in the room at 2:15 as I was preparing to leave, I didn't know him dut to not meeting him. Dr. Cunningham did my Emergency Trama surgery on my Right Femur last Month. He was very nice and listen to any of my concerns and made sure I was comfortable. Would recommend him to anyone that needs a very good surgeon. My Femur was a very bad break and he really did a awesome job. Plus his office staff and Dr. Mcleadon was very understanding and listen to any concerns or problems.
