So we saw a nice rack of beef short ribs that we wanted cut for kalbi style ribs. Price on the counter was $11.99/lb but helper went back and asked to get them cut. The butcher then upped it to $15.99/lb. Considering the Asian markets around will cut for free, absolutely ridiculous
Honestly, I said to my wife so happy we didn’t serve this to anyone. I am an east end boy. You guys once were the standard. Just tossed out a pound of New York AAA. If you know it’s not good don’t sell it. We all know beef issues.
Scam artists. I’ve picked up some of their prepared meats (their sausages or ribs) on occasion but today was the last time. Their hot sausages are literally advertised at $7.50 but the guy charged me $8.50. I inquired about the price, kindly letting him know that the sign said $7.50. He said no, that’s not the price, they’re actually $8.50. What the heck. Purchased the Bratwurst sausages they had displayed. The pack is from Wagner's Meat Products. The bratwurst were very nice, quite meaty with flavour. I tried one of the sausages cold and it was just as good. $7.99/lb.
