Best burgers in the world!! – I was so excited to find out that a burger place had opened up in Park Slope. I went there friday night, the place was packed! Waited 10 minutes for a table (worth the wait). This was the best burger I have ever had. Does anyone know how many other BBBs there are? You have to try the Brooklyn Burger (cooked with beer) and the sweet potato fries!!!! GREAT PLACE! GREAT JOB!
New and Busy but worth the wait – This is my first post on CitySearch but I felt I just had to share my experience. Found this place on a walk home from the Brooklyn Museum on Saturday night. Restaurant was packed but that's expected for a Saturday night in Park Slope. Took about 20 minutes to be seated. We each ordered a create-your-own burger, a type of fries, and a beer. The service was good and the food was amazing. My burger was cooked perfectly and the caramelized onions were delicious. However, the sweet potato fries ... read more
STAY FAR FAR AWAY- WORST RESTAURANT EVER – i went to this restaurant on saturday with two friends. the hostess assured us we were first on the list for a table, but then several tables opened up and she never came to get us. WE had to inform HER that several tables had opened up. our "waiter" came over and took our drink and appetizer order and then promptly disappeared. when he reappeared 30 minutes later (without our drinks, which we noticed had been sitting on the bar for 15 minutes now) it was to inform us that our appet... read more
Decent food, horrendous service – We eat out a lot in Park Slope, and we're pretty forgiving on service in general... but this place needs to get their act together or they're going to start losing a lot of business. We've eaten here twice as a couple and had one nightmarish experience and one poor experience. The first night we were seated promptly, but it took a while to get menus and water, then very slow coming back with the beers. No big deal so far, but then about 45 minutes later my wife asks the waiter to check on th... read more
Needs a little help... – This place may become great with time. We went tonight and, while it was crowded, we were seated pretty quickly. (The turnaround time for tables is pretty fast.) It was obvious that they were overwhelmed with the number of guests. It took a while for a waitress to come and even then, it seemed the staff wasn't clear on which tables they were supposed to wait. For a "burger bar", there should be a longer list of options, as opposed to just a few specialty burgers and a "create your own" listing with b... read more
On the rocky road... – I went to the Burger Bar on their opening night and, well, I don't know that I'll go back. The appetizer my party ordered was very flavorful, but was cold. The burgers are sub-par--nothing noteworthy. When the manager came by to ask how the experience was, my party offered a few suggestions, to which he seemed concerned. He asked if he could get us anything and we just asked for water, which he never brought, thus erasing his notion of concern. Maybe it'll get better with time, but right now I'd check ... read more
Overpriced, Subpar Food and Wilted Vegetables – We were glutinous and went right for the buffalo wings, cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. Buffalo wings were okay, but not the least bit spicy. Cheeseburger was pretty good, but a plain burger will set you back $7.50. Add any toppings and you could spend as much as $13 for your burger--or $18 if you go for the Kobe beef burger. The fries were both greasy and overcooked, and the milkshake was thin, not thick like a proper shake should be. Also, the vegetables were all wilted... read more
