Terrible, no good, very bad service. – It appears that this place got several bad reviews regarding its' service in the first few weeks it had its' doors open; unfortunately things don't seem to have changed and it's nearly February. I went there with my boyfriend (incidentally, on a Friday night and there was no DJ, amazing or otherwise. nor was there any toilet paper in the restroom) and upon noticing that we would have to wait for a table, gave my name to the girl who appeared to be the hostess and told her we'd be at the... read more
GREAT DJ on FRIDAY NIGHTS!! Great Mini Burgers!! – The mini burgers are so cute and they taste amazing!! The wings are great too! On Friday nights there is a HOT as hell DJ in the back who knows EXACTLY what he is doing!! There is a TV, pool table and room to dance, if you so desire. If your goal is to relax and just take in the sounds after a rough week, then the comfortable leather chairs placed in front of a real wood burning fireplace allows for a casual/comfortable atmosphere. The music is just enough to "get you going"... read more
best burgers in Brooklyn! Hands down! – great food good staff. seems like they are overwhelmed because the place is always packed... they must be doing something right because its packed. We had a great experience. Eric the manager was very nice to us.
great burgers – I went there friday night with me and my family. It was great , the service was excellent i had a wonderful time. The food was really good took a little while. but i think thats normal for a new restaurant. I would definately go back several more times. Park slope needed a place like this. Really loved those great fries. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BROOKLYN BURGER BAR
Definite Friday Night Spot – So I'm looking for a bite to eat on a Friday night in Park Slope. As I get to the corner of 7th ave. and 9th st., I notice the Brooklyn Burger Bar. So I stroll in with my friend in tow, and realize I have found my new Friday night spot. Not only did we get GREAT SERVICE from a waitress named Danielle (who is sooo good loking) but the burgers were right on (price, quality). Also in the back room there is a DJ who plays soul-infused dance music till about 2am. Grab a bite to eat in the front lounge... read more
Burgers & Beats – I've noticed some mixed reviews about this place, but I've been there several times and enjoyed myself. I personally like the mini burgers or wings. It's perfect food to have a drink to and relax, which seems like what this place is about. I tend to go on Friday nights because they have a DJ come in from 10:00PM - 2:00AM. I stay in the back room while he's on and shoot a few games of pool with my friends. For me, this place in a convinent Friday night out.
Wish we'd gone to Wendy's. . . – At least you know what you're getting at a fast food joint. The looks of this spot are deceptive. Great location, great casual vibe, lousy food. The burgers were pre-cooked and overpriced. My boyfriend ordered his rare with bacon and cheese ($10.50)and I ordered mine medium with onions and cheese ($11.00)and they looked exactly the same: gray and crumbly. I have no problem paying $12 for a really great burger (Dumont, Relish, Shake Shack to name a few of my favs) but this wasn't great. On the... read more
Hospital Food Meets Middle School Cafeteria... – Brooklyn Burger Bar has the right idea, but fails to execute. On a Sunday afternoon, I joined three of my friends to give this new place a chance. I ordered a burger (rare?) with swiss (+$1.50) and bacon (+$1.25) with the house fries. The burger seemed to be precooked, as if sitting in a steam tray, and lacked simple seasoning. As mentioned before, I asked for the burger rare and what arrived was somewhere between well done and boiled. It was supposed to be served on a brioche... read more
potential isn't enough – Really disappointing. Our food was passable at best - no brioche rolls, and below average burgers. But what prompted me to actually create a citysearch profile, so that I could review this place, was the lame service. Our server was sleepwalking, and the slow service was heightened by her incompetence. We live just a few blocks away, and having a place like this seemed too good to be true. For a quality burger, try Johnny Mack's, Dizzy's, or 12th Street Grill (the best of this very good group). Vote ... read more
