I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at this hospital! The same nurses are on duty that took care of my daughter last year when she lost her baby. It was a horrible time for us, but they made it somewhat bearable and they are so happy to be taking care of her through this joyous occasion this year. They are the best!
I would not have your baby here! Kept saying my contractions weren't real and saying I had a UTI when in fact I didn't. Treated me like I was lying about my pain. Sent me home with severe abdominal cramping. Ended up being induced. Set up a date and time. Got a call 2 hours before hand saying they couldn't induce me and would call when I was able to come in. Called me around noon saying they can't get me in 4 days later! I ended up delivering at OSF with a wonderful experience there.
Walked in before my apt time got right in and was out in 1/2 hour!!!
I was very impressed with the kindness shown to my niece and her husband in the obstetrics department. The birthing rooms are fantastic! Great facility!
The ER doctor was very rude to my daughter and talked down to her. She was made to feel that they were annoyed that she came in because her condition wasn't serious enough. This is the 2nd visit my daughter has had since going to school at ISU and she had a bad experience like this both times. This time the doctor told her, "It sounds like this has been going on for a while and you're still alive." Terrible bedside manner and terrible patient care.
I was so sorry to see the midday parking lot shuttle service dropped. I loved it! It made my visits to the hospital so easy and convenient. It was great to not walk during the hot weather or snow storms. It was such a great service for not only the hospital patrons, but also the staff. I'm very, very disappointed!!
The nursing staff treated our son with compassion and respect. Nurses Gentry and Debbie were so very kind and tech Matt at his call responses quickly. Any questions we had were thoroughly answered. Dr Knoll was there twice during our fortunately short visit and very thorough and involved us in decisions for our son's care! Great staff and confidence in their care!! His morning nurse saw him briefly but was thorough in examining him from head to toe!! Very impressed!! Thank you Advocate for providing awesome nursing staff!!
My family member was in the icu and the staff was very unprofessional! I heard staff talking about some patient and the X-ray technicians were rough with my mom and talking about what they had for lunch. No sensitivity of the family and the situation. They just told us to get out of the room.
I must be missing my overnight vitals checks, because I'm awake. Lol. Every single person I encountered, from check-in at ER--nurses, techs, surgeons, housekeeping, room-service, down to the volunteer who wheeled me out the door--was excellent. Thank you so much!
