About this business

Located across the street from our original deli, Broders' Cucina Italiana, Broders' Pasta Bar has taken the art of fresh pasta one step further. While the Cucina sells pasta to customers who want to cook at home, the pasta bar was designed to delight our customers with pasta cooked the way it is meant to be. Each of the 22 or so pasta and risotto on the menu are cooked to order and served steaming hot. Those seated at the bar get the best view of our pasta chefs cooking their dish, which is always 'al dente' and carefully t... read more

Great pasta – Fun local spot with very good fresh pasta. Cozy up to the bar and enjoy conversation with your dinner date or someone next to you. Very busy and crowded at times, but calling ahead to put your name on the list helps. Check out the specials they offer at certain times of the day.

poor service, ridiculously long wait – I called ahead to put my party of 5 on the list (they don't take reservations for under 6). We arrived an hour later, per their recommendation, and waited an additional hour and a half to be seated. It's a small space, I would NOT recommend it for groups. And if you go with one other person, you'll probably still be sat at the bar in the middle of the room (not romantic or cozy at all). Our server never took our drink order, she just threw water in front of all of us. The menu is tricky... read more

Return for the best italian food!!!! – We were visiting from Los Angeles and one of my favorite stops is always to eat at Broder's. We arrived to the smell of the scent of the "best" italian food in Minneapolis, hands down. After a short wait, which we called ahead to place our name on the list, ALWAYS DO IT. We were accomodated at a nice private table in the corner. The service was great, right away we had waters, bread and olive oil, menu's. Our server was a long time server, his suggestions and walk through of the menu wa... read more

This tight-knit neighborhood Italian restaurant serves 21 freshly made pastas and risottos. – In Short This popular sister of the Cucina Italiana deli across the street offers heaping bowls of hand-made noodle dishes and desserts to anyone lucky enough to get one of the 67 seats. The servers bustle across the burnt tile floor, delivering the goods to the small groups sit at the tables. However, couples and singles go for the horseshoe-shaped pasta bar, where there's a better view of the kitchen.

Great food and service – Very impressed, the service was great and the waitress was very nice and helpfull. Will definitely be back! Price was reasonable, I had clams on pasta (don't remeber the Itilian name), its been awhile since I've had clams, but this was great!

Truely a classic – I don't need to say much here because i'm sure its already been said. Nothing can touch the extemely fresh, amazing quality of Broder's. This should be the first choice for anyone to dine in MPLS/STP. The quadrucci con pollo, asparagi ed aceto balsamico is one of my favorite dishes of all time, but I've never been anything but utterly thrilled with what I've ordered. Go. Often.

Closest Thing to Italy – Simple and straightforward. Fresh and seasonal. This is pasta as you can only experience in Italy. Try the Penne with aspargus, prosciutto di Parma and smoked mozzarella. Delightful. The Berkshire pork ragu with fennel and zucchini is rich and satisfying. Laid back service and atmosphere. Feels like Home away from home.

Pasta Like You Find in Italy – Sometimes the simple things are best. At Broders' this is no exception. A satisfying Bogognese sauce on silky tagliatelle, penne with rosemary, cream and tomatoes, pennette with sausage and truffle cream are all wonderfully satisfying without overwhelming the taste buds. Tagliarini in the style of Soragna, with its egg yolk rich pasta, top quality parmigiano and prosciutto di Parma and a hint of truffles is sinfully rich and still simple and straightforward. This is some of the best pasta I've ... read more

Terrible! Will never return! – I did not make reservations and was told the wait was between 15-30 minutes. We had a party of three and people that did not have reservations and came after us were seated first. The explanation was that it was due to they had parties of 4 and that was easier to seat. Does not make sense and I will never go back. Overall wait was 80 minutes. Not worth the wait. Food was average, service once seated was above average.
