Broders' Pasta Bar

About this business

Located across the street from our original deli, Broders' Cucina Italiana, Broders' Pasta Bar has taken the art of fresh pasta one step further. While the Cucina sells pasta to customers who want to cook at home, the pasta bar was designed to delight our customers with pasta cooked the way it is meant to be. Each of the 22 or so pasta and risotto on the menu are cooked to order and served steaming hot. Those seated at the bar get the best view of our pasta chefs cooking their dish, which is always 'al dente' and carefully t... read more

Terrible! Will never return! – I did not make reservations and was told the wait was between 15-30 minutes. We had a party of three and people that did not have reservations and came after us were seated first. The explanation was that it was due to they had parties of 4 and that was easier to seat. Does not make sense and I will never go back. Overall wait was 80 minutes. Not worth the wait. Food was average, service once seated was above average.

Good, but not in the high 9s – When my friend an I first got there we had to wait for our table, so we sat outside on the patio to get a drink. It took a pretty long time for the waitress to come up to us, and then after she took our order, she delivered drinks to about 5 other people before finally pouring ours. All in all we had to wait almost 15-20 minutes for one drink, and it wasn't even crowded. They definitely needed more help outside. The rest of these service was OK, but not great. And I thought the pasta was good, ... read more

Wanted to like it – The couple next to us might as well of joined us for dinner. The idea of the "pasta bar" with the food made in front of you is fun but NOT romantic. The wine in the carafe was ridiculously small and overpriced and the food was decent and not as described as what it was on the menu(at least mine). I always hate it when everything that is not in the dish is NOT listed on the menu. For example if I was alergic to something I would of never of known it was in my dish because they failed to disclose that. I th... read more

Rissotto Perfecto!! – Me and my girlfreind decided to eat here after a quick stop at the Cucina across the street on a Saturday early evening. I read good things about this place. It ended up to be all true. I was luck enough to get there early enough to get the last 2 seats in the house up at the pasta bar, which are nice seats. Pass on the bread. The mussels were good but the red sauce they were in tasted like bland tomato soup. I ordered the rissoto with clams. It ws the best thing I have eaten in a long time. We had the ... read more

Fabulous Food - Terrific Service – Broder's doesn't disappoint. The food is fresh and a combination of flavors. With a menu just sufficiently broad to be called daring by MN standards paired with a small but appropriate wine list, it's hard to beat eating here. It's pricey compared to chains, so don't go if you usually order the "endless salad and breadsticks." The service is very attentive, and the desserts are great too. It can be very crowded, especially on the weekends, so recommendations are highly recommended. Parking ... read more

Consistently tasty, every time – A nice little restaurant, that should be top-rated. You can taste that the pasta is home-made, and it's always perfectly cooked al-dente. The bar provides a great view of the area, and they're quick to refill you bread (although you should be having the roasted garlic or a pizza instead). The other tables also offer a more intimate setting. The quadrucci dish is fittingly a staple on the changing menu, and veggies of the day are often asparagus or squash. I'm never happy eating at other Itali... read more

Charming Neighborhood Restaurant – I love this place!! They have an excellent variety of pasta dishes, wines and desserts. My husband and I are vegetarians and there are several options available for us. We can never remember which wines we like and have been able to sample the wine before we order a bottle. I also adore the atmosphere of this restaurant. The tables may be close together, but it adds to the charm.

wonderful! – We had no trouble getting a table on a Thursday night, and the service was very friendly. Our waitress was very helpful and helped us decide between dishes. We all ordered different entrees and desserts, and no one had any complaints. I would highly recommend the portabello mushroom in spinach ravioli. The only downside I would mention is that the tables were crowded close together.

Mmmm good! – I have been seeking out different italian restaurants for awhile to try, and since Broder's was really close my boyfriend and I checked it out! It was a wednesday evening. We decided to take advantage of the after 8 deal and arrived to find good parking, a table ready and a very nice waitress. We both loved our pastas espeecially the fact that they were piping hot when they hit the table, both full of good flavor, the homemade-taste AND texture of my Stringozzi was awesome! The dish was flavorful and just the ri... read more
