About this business

Located across the street from our original deli, Broders' Cucina Italiana, Broders' Pasta Bar has taken the art of fresh pasta one step further. While the Cucina sells pasta to customers who want to cook at home, the pasta bar was designed to delight our customers with pasta cooked the way it is meant to be. Each of the 22 or so pasta and risotto on the menu are cooked to order and served steaming hot. Those seated at the bar get the best view of our pasta chefs cooking their dish, which is always 'al dente' and carefully t... read more

Great Neighborhood Restaurant Broders is one of my favorite restaurants. It is one of the only restaurants that I will try something different everytime because I know everything on the menu is good. Usually I stick to my favorites, but at Broders I like to switch it up.

Quite a let down – The food was not as described on the menu. I waited almost an extra 45 minutes beyond my reservation to be seated. I also emailed Broders about my concerns prior to this post but they failed to respond to my concerns. Don't waste your time here.....believe me there are better things you can do with three hours!

great pasta - feels like Italy! – Very fun place to eat - small and cozy with a great neighborhood feel. I love its coziness, but on a busy night the wait can sometimes be frustrating. We made the mistake of not calling ahead once and waited quite a while, so now we have learned to call ahead. Still, it is worth a wait. We are close enough for take out, which we also enjoy, but the pasta (homemade) is absolutely best when you eat it there. I love the lamb/eggplant - especially on a cold night - real comfort food. Try not to ... read more

Gotta Love Broders – Broders is small, cramped and hard to get into but no one puts it out like they do. This place really makes pasta the is outstanding. You go there for the best plate of pasta in town. You have to try it to get it. I recommend calling ahead to get you name on the list.

Pasta, Pasta And More Pasta – I thought the pizza was good at the deli then I tried the pasta across the street and wow! I never had anything so good. Broders seems to know what they are doing. There are lots of choices, enough to please everyone. I had a pasta with lamb, olives, goat cheese and rosemary that was outstanding. Others at the table had a great Bolognese, a pasta with truffle cream and cheese and one with a simple tomato sauce. All were really, really good. Don't miss this one.

THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE FOR PASTA IN TOWN! – Broders Pasta Bar can become an addiction, an obsession if you don't watch out. There are so many great pasta dishes to choose from on the menu that are really, truly delicious. Needless to say, I am a regular. My first experience was Number 11, a pasta with chicken and prosciutto, almonds, asparagus and fresh greens tossed with homemade noodles and some sort of creamy but light sauce... incredible. Anyway, it took awhile before I started to order other dishes on the menu - and th... read more

Worth the wait – I went on a Friday night and had to wait for over an hour--but it was SO worth it. We drank a bottle of wine while waiting, and the staff and atmosphere were great. Best pasta I've found in Minneapolis (and quite frankly ever, outside of Italy).

Broders is simply awful. If you want dry, flavorless, overpriced pasta, go here. – This place is awful. I can't believe how popular it is! I got take-out last night. I asked the host/server what she recommended if we were looking for one flavorful, garlicky, tomato pasta dish and one cheesy pasta dish. She recommended the penne alla puttanesca with the addition of spicy sausage and extra sauce(#20) and the tagliarini di Locanda del Lupo (#18) respectively. Well, flavorful and cheesy they were not. The puttanesca was a lot of... read more

FABULOUS FOOD but lacking in service – Italian food like they actually make in Italy . This place is not for those who only like American-style Italian. Food is fresh as can be. Salads are scrumptious and bread is crusty and delicious. The location is quaint, but this also means everything is a tight squeeze - parking, waiting, even seating. But the food is consistently good. If you have a party of 3 or more during a weekend - forget it. This is true unless you have the required allotted number of persons for reservations, w... read more
