THE BEST EXPERIENCE My daughter recently purchased her dress from Bridal and Gift. They went to every measure to make sure that it was exactly how she imagined her dress to be. The owner, Linda, even gave her so many design options ( which she could alter in her store) just so she could have customize it to her liking. THE BEST!!!! I have to say that I am completely shocked by all of these negative reviews. Not only is the selection inside this store probably one of the largest in the area, it is also probably one of the nicest. The owners are wonderful. Bob and Linda definitely made it a great experience for me..They spent all the time I needed with me,(even after they had been closed for an hour, and on many occasions) in order to make me happy and comfortable. Bridal & Gift was wonderful for me My mother and I have just finished having our alterations done at this shop. I am the BRIDE and bought everything there. The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. By the time alterations were done, I felt like they were family. I actually invited the owners to my wedding, but since I am getting married on a Saturday, that is their busy day and they have to be at their salon. DON'T BOTHER!! I read all these bad reviews and decided to go anyways - how bad could it be? Well, it was awful. We accidentally went to their second store where they do alterations and the seamstress ignored us and didn??t call to another worker to help us. Very rude and the place was dumpy with cheap looking dresses. I decided on the spot that I would NOT get anything altered their even if I bought at their store.
BE WARE!!! I walked into the shop with my mother and was expecting a well put together boutique. To my surprise the store was small and cramped you can hardly move. To try on a dress you first have to convince yourself to deal with the temperature that was so unbearable hot, NO AC! Very poor lighting also! I did however find a dress that I loved, even if it did have a rip in the back. The women assured me it would be fixed by Tuesday when I picked it up. MOH I went with my sister to Bridal and Gift and everybody was very helpful. There was a very cheery woman waiting for us when we opened the door (I believe the owner's wife). She tried on about 6 dresses and narrowed her search down to 3. The women asked my sister a lot of questions and were very friendly. They helped her find dresses that would fit her body type (petite) and were honest with their opinions. We came back later with our step mother and they remembered us right away. Unprofessional I chose to use Shear Style to supply and fit the dresses for my bridesmaids. I am very unhappy to hear that my mother, sister, and bridesmaids were VERY dissatisfied with the service they received. Firstly, the bridesmaids had to wait a good 1/2 hour each for the sales people to find their dresses. Two of my bridesmaids were given the wrong dresses because the sizes and names were not checked by the employee. Even 1 star is too many... My Maid of Honor and I are geographically separated - she's in MA and I'm in NC. She found a dress at Bridal & Gift she absolutely loved and wanted me to see it. It was a gown that is not anywhere online, so she asked to take a picture. She was told that she would have to make a non-refundable deposit in order to take a pic. I'd stay away... Visited this shop while searching for a mother of the bride dress. The shop is located on the top floor of a small building, so displays are cramped and difficult to reach. There are very few dressing rooms, so the wait to try on dresses was unbearable. Sales staff was highly uniformed and very unhelpful. We actually found some dresses that we liked, but they could not get the information that we needed that day and never followed up with us.
