WONDERFUL STORE There just aren't enough stars to describe my experience at Bridal and Gift. A few months ago I went into bridal and gift (and yes ladies it is cramped but just stick with it its worth it! and ALOT of stores are this way). I ordered a beautiful gown with the help of Francia. BE WARE!!! I walked into the shop with my mother and was expecting a well put together boutique. To my surprise the store was small and cramped you can hardly move. To try on a dress you first have to convince yourself to deal with the temperature that was so unbearable hot, NO AC! Very poor lighting also! bridalandgift Went to this shop today. 3 sales people in the store, but no one seemed to notice my mom and I. My wedding is next May, and I showed the salesperson some magazine pictures. They did not have the particular wedding gowns so told me to just browse, I felt like I was putting them out of their way. Tried on a Maggie that was beautiful. COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!! They sold my sister's (mother of the bride) dress between fittings. What else can I say - it's your worst nightmare. Let's face it weddings are stressful enough.
Even 1 star is too many... My Maid of Honor and I are geographically separated - she's in MA and I'm in NC. She found a dress at Bridal & Gift she absolutely loved and wanted me to see it. It was a gown that is not anywhere online, so she asked to take a picture. She was told that she would have to make a non-refundable deposit in order to take a pic. P-O'd and with reason! I went to this shop with high hopes, as i had heard NOTHING but good things about it! No one in the RI, MA, CT area carried the dress I was looking for so I had to do what they call BORROW program (designer sends a dress 50$ out of MY pocket- for me to try and send back). Believe all the bad reviews Ladies, do not bother. I had a fair experience on the day I went to buy my dress here (though the other reviews are right - the store is cramped and hot). The woman who helped me was nice, but I lucked out - overhearing the other sales people, I was fairly horrified. The rough part came when I called them a couple of months later to confirm my dress arrival date (my sisters are crazy organized!). A very satisfied bride I cannot say enough nice things about my experience with Linda and the store. The store is in a large house and yes a bit small, but I was made to feel like my wedding was very important to them. When my dress came in, they called me to let me know it was there. Linda ordered the dress with me standing right at the counter. The seamstress was very accommodating, she had to take of both myself and my daughter. THE BEST!!!! I have to say that I am completely shocked by all of these negative reviews. Not only is the selection inside this store probably one of the largest in the area, it is also probably one of the nicest. The owners are wonderful. Bob and Linda definitely made it a great experience for me..They spent all the time I needed with me,(even after they had been closed for an hour, and on many occasions) in order to make me happy and comfortable.
