My 90 year old mother was taken to Brandon ER at 7PM yesterday January 27, 2021 and she is still in the ER on a gurney. She was tested negative for COVID but I will have her recheck when she gets out of there. Patients are supposed to be turned every 2 hours to prevent bedsores but she is still waiting waiting for 27 hours lying on her back in the ER. Staff nurse or doctor will not answer or return call to family. Visitor is 1 in 24 hours. Very disappointed. She may be dead before she gets a bed.

RecommendedNURSE RIGO == Thank you for the care you have given me under the supervision of LEADER NURSE TIFFANY, during my stay (surgery) at BRH 5A (JAN. 2021). YOU SHOULD BE COMMENDED FOR THE FINE DEDICATION YOU HAVE SHOWN. DURING THESE HARD TIMES IT MUST BE DIFFICULT TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE. BUT YOU WENT THROUGH YOUR DAILY TASTS WITH COMPOSURE AND ASSURRENCE a positive declaration intended to give confidence; a promise THAT ALL WILL BE WELL. Once again Thank you NURSE RIGO ! stay safe & above stay blessed.
I went in a few nights ago because I was having severe stomach pain. They ran tests and kept me for two nights. Found out exactly what the problem was. Everyone was very attentive, professional and friendly. They took very good care of me. I would highly recommend.
If you have another option, DO NOT GO HERE. Every time I've come in, the incompetence has been rampant, not to mention once they put me on a DIRTY BED AND LEFT ME IN A CROWDED HALLWAY FOR OVER AN HOUR! They don't care at all about the patient, just how many tests and procedures they can do to jack up your bill. Every person I know who has had to come to BRH has had similar experiences. STEER CLEAR. they DO NOT have your best interest at heart.

After triage, we’ve been sitting here 4 hours. X-rays done, Covid test done...that’s it. No communication from anyone. People are frustrated and leaving like crazy. Getting ready to leave.

Not a good experience at all. As a diabetic going in with stomach pains and nausea I was thinking I would get some real help but once I told them I didn't have insurance I got a "take your meds and come back if the symptoms get worst" convo. I asked for a cup of water and was denied. I went to Tampa General the next day and was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis, I was in ICU for 3 days. Horrible experience in the ER. I came in with bad COVID symptoms and was treated like crap, left in a room hooked up to all the machines with no way to use the bathroom and nobody coming to help when buzzed, given Tylenol and shuffled out. My resting pulse ox was under 90 and they didn’t care! But they had plenty of time to have social hour at the desk right by my room!
