straightforward approach of his does not bother me, I found him very professional, competent and, and worthy of being a fine surgeon

I had severe pain for weeks caused by a massive lumbar disc hernia. Another doctor said it would take 2-4 weeks before he could do surgery. Dr. Skidmore recognized my urgent status and did surgery the next day, even though it was not his usual day to operate. His medical assistant, Mary, rushed through the insurance approval and expedited my pre-op lab tests. My type of hernia is rare (2-5% of cases) and required special expertise. Dr. S did an amazing job and I was better immediately.

Mr Skidmore doesn't appear to be very Dr like towards his patients. He tries his best not to see them by only sending messages through orders or his team/practitioners. He has terrible bedside manners which leave his students felling worse than they did before they came in. Would not recommend at all ever to anyone.

Dr Skidmore has operated on me 4 times. Every time was a success. I like him a lot. He is a great surgeon and I would and have recommended him to others.

I was refered to Dr skidmore from my pain specialist after the shots didnt work. On my first visit with him he told me i should have had the discectomy few months proir. First he sent me to get a scope done for my throat because of the rasp in my voice. After that i was in surgery a week after the scope was done. I am a month out of surgery and my arm/neck pain/numbness is totally gone. I would recommend Dr Skidmore to family and friends. He worked wonders.

Would not recommend due to his lack of interest in patient needs.
