The place was completely gutted in 2006 and was rebuilt again. The restaurant is famous for its wonderful oysters, seafood platter and shrimps. It takes pride in using the freshest ingredients and the catch of the day is always worth trying out. You can also book private parties at this venue.

Excellent event. This was a nicely orchestrated event. The atmosphere was fun and lively.
Can't wait to go back, best food ever! It's like a hidden secret, glad my daughter showed us after visiting Charleston many times! Definitely my kind of place!

Saw this place on travel channel, the way Andrew Zimmern described was very accurate! If you love oysters, you're out for a treat! This restaurant did not make money on us, even though we did all you can eat oysters for $30 a person, we ate bushel and a half between two of us! They were excellent! Salty, sweet, buttery... the best! Don't be scared by the "ambiance" of the oyster room, you won't even notice the dungeon, that's how good the oysters are! Definitely will be back, with more people too.

It was great. There was an amazing sunset! Simply gorgeous! Our shrimp were perfect (as always) and we enjoyed the new draft on tap, Pecan Dream. Had some oysters too....perfectly salty and obviously fresh....though they could have been steamed just a smidge longer...they were a bear to get opened!
