The place was completely gutted in 2006 and was rebuilt again. The restaurant is famous for its wonderful oysters, seafood platter and shrimps. It takes pride in using the freshest ingredients and the catch of the day is always worth trying out. You can also book private parties at this venue.

Good food...hard to find a place to sit, and no staff to refill your drinks...maybe that's the business model, not sure.
Shrimp was good....
You CANNOT visit Folly without going to Bowens!!!!

My husband and I absolutely love Bowen's Island. It is our favorite restaurant in Charleston because of the food and the view. We had our rehearsal dinner there this month and the experience was amazing. Our friends and family raved about the food and the atmosphere. Also, Mike was AMAZING. We owe him a huge thanks. He was so helpful and kind. Love this place.
