I moved into my unit at the Lost River Storage Facility and my unit was a climate controlled unit on the inside. The contract stated secure and safe with cameras and code to enter. They provided the locks. I moved my items in two units in April of 2023 and that was the last time I entered the units. I have never in all my 52 years written a review, good or bad. But I looked up how to do it because the I felt so strongly about how I've been mishandled. I don't even expect your company to do right by me, this is just me venting because the big, million (at least) dollar company always wins, right? Im currently renting a storage unit at ******************** and was told by an associate named ********* that I was to receive a free month on my rental unit and to call or come in to receive that offer since I had paid my rental amount when I moved in on 8/31/2023. I was denied service because my alternate contact owe U-Haul money. EAlert customer service representative ******* ( whom decline to provide her last name, supervisor, or any other manager request ) told me that it is U-Haul's company policy to not rent to anyone whom has any affiliation with any person that owes U-Haul money. ******* stated to me that in order for me to rent a truck or U-Haul to rinder service I would have to pay the $42 on the alternate contacts behalf. I reserved a uhaul and dolly over two weeks ago. When I get here to pick up the truck and dolly. There is no dolly to be had! The only thing I was told is that they could only take the price of the dolly off.. however because I reserved it the reservation is not being honored.

My reservation was changed and then canceled the day before our move. I was told I was wrong and then after getting a manager, all he kept saying was they were busy and he was trying to help. They took no responsibility for their actions. How is someone allowed to alter my reservation and get away with it. They have access to my debit card information and wont take responsibility for their workers. I would like to believe that if Uhaul was a ******** owned company it would have better service for *********. Uhaul punishes people who live in smaller communities by keeping the larger trucks in bigger cities and if someone in a smaller town wants to rent a larger truck, they have to go pick it up themselves and pay the extra mileage from the bigger city. The **Boxes are a SCAM! DO NOT RENT THEM OVER OTHER OPTIONS. I rented two for a cross country move thinking they were a good deal at ~$2k. Now they want to charge me ANOTHER ~$2k to unload them which was never discussed in advance. They have my belongings so what am I to do other than pay them an undisclosed additional fee of almost DOUBLE.
