NOT RECOMMENDED – It seems unless you aren't a regular customer you won't get proper service!! The service and food was not worth the money we spent. I would suggest trying other Indian rest. in Beaverton/Hillsboro (swagat, curry leaf...) which serve better Indian food with "reasonable" service.

A tasty Ruby Murray.... – I've lived all around the world and have found the Bombay to be up there with the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in. The staff are friendly and owner, Kareem is a true gentleman. The food is never disapointing. Make sure you book though, it gets very busy. Try the garlic naan along with a chicken masala washed down with a bottle of crisp flying horse.

NOT RECOMMENDED – This is not how Indian food tastes... the manager was arrogant, the ambience was stuffy and uncomfortably placed and where's the INDIAN SPICE!!!!

yummy! – Delicious Indian food, oh how I love thee... We went on a Thursday night (around 7 or 7:30) and although it was crowded there were several free tables and we were promptly seated. Our server was great -- quick and accomodating, even though they were busy. The food was excellent -- as long as you don't over-estimate your ability to handle spice, everything we had was great, from the samosas we started with, to the kheer at the end. The chai is really good (they give you sugar to sweeten it yourself), and the chicken ... read more

Am I missing something? – I'm surprised that so many folks consider this a great indian restaurant! It seems mediocre at best to me. I heard so much about this place and when I went I was definately disappointed! I've been to some really good Indian places including Chutneys in Seattle and some really bad ones, which I won't name. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to return to Bombay Crickett Club when we have our own mediocre Indian food, Shalimar in Hillsboro. I'm still looking for a really good Indian restaurant in th... read more

Unless you are hungry – The food here is just OK. Service is not very good. Seems if you are not a regular, they don't pay much attention to you. The Naan is excellent though! But the curries lack spice and flavor. Overall, just a so-so experience. I did find the service very disappointing, that was one of the major drawbacks, and it is quite expensive in comparison to it's peers. I had the Tandouri another time I was here and was asked if I wanted it hot, medium or mild. To me Tandouri just is! The powdery substance on the ... read more

COMPLETELY SURPRISED!! – I am completely surprised! What a wonderful choice we had made this past friday evening! Before the afternoon had ended, my boyfriend & I discussed dinner & restaurants for the evening. I was craving Indian food so we both went on CitySearch. We have gone to a couple of Indian restaurants in Portland (all pretty good) but we heard so many great places about BBC that we were totally shocked by all the mixed reviews on Citysearch. I was skeptical to go but before we had agreed to our destination, my bo... read more

Amazing! – People have certain expections... and they may also have certain levels of taste in quality! For instance, some people prefer McDonald's... some people prefer Outback Steakhouse... but then there are the hidden jewels like Bombay Cricket. Each entree has so many hidden flavors! I've been in Portland for 3 1/2 years now and have sampled some outstanding restaurants in town, either inexpensive or expensive. I have never sent a rating on CitySearch & not one to frequent the site to continue, but after several great e... read more

Great food! Whack mood! – If the chef, Mahksood, was running both the front of the house as well as creating the beautiful dishes he already makes, this would be my favorite restaurant. Unfortunately the dining area exists now as a fascist state. Trying to take your time, splitting entrees, or showing up a person short will all get you hated on. I've never experienced that kind of uncomfortability anywhere.
