One of the best – The food is always good, although the level of spiciness is not always consistent. The service is always good, even when the place is packed to capacity. The Chicken Coconut Curry is absolutely divine, but it runs mild, so if you like it spicy, order it at medium-plus or above. The Zathar Naan is not to be missed!
Fantastic!! – I visited the restaurant this weekend and had an incredible meal. The chicken was so tender--didn't need a knife--and perfectly seasoned. I also ordered the Masala Rita and let me tell you--delicious and a great bargain for $6!! Looking forward to the return trip!
Always Great! – My husband and I have always enjoyed great service, great food and a great time here. The owner has always personally greeted us into this intimate setting. The mango margaritas are a special treat to enjoy here. The food is always prepared fresh to order. This is a wonderful dining experience every time. Indian food of this calibar in Portland is a rare find.
Worst Curry Ever! – Maybe the chef was having a bad day, but for the first time in my life I left a curry unfinished, and not because it was too hot, because it was disgusting. I have high standards with curries, my home town has a 50% indian population, but I've had better curries in Germany for goodness sake. My tip is: avoid any indian resturant where you don't see any indians working or even better eating.
RUDE, POMPOUS, NO KIDS – Called at 3:30 to make reservation, told none needed since monday slow. arrived 6:30 less than half full restaraunt, but told that we would have to sit outside " no tables available" though blatant lie. This due to the fact that we had a small child. Used to be my favorite Indian food until the attitude of the owner and staff ruined the good food. No sympathy, just attitude
You will weep with joy! – The dishes at Bombay Cricket Club are fabulously complex and delicious. There are layers of tastes and flavors in each mouthful. They are remarkably consistant and though it is often difficult to get a table, it is always worth the wait. The mango margaritas pack a whollop and the customers and staff are friendly and beautiful.
Worth the wait... – So what if you've got a bit of a wait to get seated? The food is absolutely worth your time. I've had great experiences here and have really enjoyed the tandoori and tikka dishes. Best of all, though, is the naan.
Best Indian Food – Great Indian food with the mixed culture of east and west. This is a restaurant that takes pride in quality. They serve you portions that are more than enough. If you are local or visiting Portland and love Indian food you have to try Bombay Cricket Club.
Spicy, good – I've only been here once, but I had good service and food. It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, BCC does spicy right.
