I adopted my best friend years ago from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. They worked with me until the right horse was found for me. They are a great bunch of people who give their time and knowledge for the benefit of those horses who were found starving and in need of rescuing. I love this rescue and the people who run it. They are the real deal! My horse has since passed at the ripe age of thirty and my heart aches daily from losing her. If I were to adopt again I would definitely turn to this rescue.
Excellent high quality rescue, and really doing things right. Highly highly recommend. 5 stars, but my internet illiterate self can’t see where to rate it, so I just give recommendation
I love this rescue and all they do for the horses. To my knowledge no other rescue works as hard and with great success to get the horses training. Getting the horses training takes time and money well past just getting them healthy. They really care about the horse and it's future. Bluebonnet has an amazing network of individuals who work hard to provide the best for the horses in their care.
BEHS is the epitome of what a well run, large-scale horse rescue should be. In my decade+ running a riding program, we have been blessed with several rescue horses and they all have their merits and they all come from people with love and passion for their work— but Bluebonnet, in my opinion, is one of the absolute best. We have had two BEHS horses that ultimately di... read more
I adopted a horse from Bluebonnet to be a companion to my mare. I have never known such a hard working, dedicated group of people as the Bluebonnet members. They will go out even on a rainy, cold, Christmas Eve, if there is a horse in trouble. They do whatever needs to be done to get a horse healthy and then help them get the perfect home, following up and monitoring as needed. Any horse that comes into Bluebonnet has a promise that they will never be neglected or abused for the rest of their life.
I have been a member of this group for 3 years. Excellent, caring, knowledgeable people make up this rescue. Adopted my mare from here in 2018 after meeting her, riding her, and staying in contact with her trainer. The support is forever!
Great Equine Rescue to work with!
Love, love, love BEHS! I’ve adopted 2 horses and a burro from them. This organization really cares about the animals they take in!
Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society is an amazing organization that puts the needs of the horses first. They are so friendly and helpful when it comes to rehoming horses. Jennifer in particular is an amazing resource for any rescue! I support BEHS whenever I can.
Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society has a 4.8 star rating with 261 reviews.
