This rescue is amazing. 💗 Do consider adopting from them or supporting them through their many ways of assisting.
I learned about Bluebonnet when I saw an old friend participating in their training challenge. When I learned Takota would be available for adoption I quickly applied and I’m so glad I did. He immediately became my heart horse. The process was very smooth and everyone was so wonderful to work with. I’m sure I will adopt or foster from them again.
They provide an invaluable service in Texas
This is a great organization with a passion and commitment to serving horses - rehabbing and finding forever homes! I should know, I have 2 beauties from Bluebonnet.
Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society Executive Director Jennifer Williams has long been a source in my coverage of equine welfare issues for The Horse and Horse Illustrated magazines. I've long relied on Jenn for her professional, knowledgeable and reliable, viewpoint on all manner of issues. I always appreciate her help.

Best rescue ever! I have worked with them for over a decade. They truly take care of the horses they rescue. Farrier bills, vet bills, training you name it. They will do whatever it takes to make an unwanted horse a useful companion for someone. They are true horsemen & women. They make all their decisions based on what is best for the horse. They pay their bill fully & on time. I donate to them everytime I use PayPal which is often.
I have fostered and adopted from Bluebonnett I have never met more caring people and their love for horses is outstanding. They would never let a horse suffer ever! I have left instructions with my family if I should die unexpectedly my babies go to Bluebonnett where they will be loved, fed and taken care of.
These people honestly care about these horses.
