I moved into the *** Apts managed by Greystar management in February of 2020. The couldt get people in due to the pandemic so they under priced the rental and issued 2 months free rent. In October I was offered another job and had to break the lease: even with eventually renting out the apt, Greystar issued punitive cost of 3 months rent ($2500/month) plus the remainder of the lease PLUS the so-called 2 free month rent - all amounting to $15,000USD. My husband and I were approved for an apartment and paid all the fees and deposit. Were then told we were denied and when I called they said it was a mistake and said we would need to reapply and pay fees again and it would be credited to our account. Long story short after filling out all move in paperwork and setting up utilities we were told current tenants decided to renew our lease. Our building is just two years old and already we've experienced several building and construction catastrophes including severe rain flooding to the ground level units which is now an ongoing occurrence met with very delayed action from GREYSTAR to rectify the issues for residents. In our first year as residents, and PRIOR to the sale of our building to its parent company, GREYSTAR, we were impressed with the prompt response and action the management and maintenance teams took with each issue we faced. They avoid maintenance responsibilities, then charge you for them later. They are literally the worst landlords I’ve ever had.
Our **************** Express Appliance completed repairs for Greystar / *********************** ********************* , there are 5 outstanding invoices since 2020. We are trying to reach Bridgepoint Apartments for several months, we met all their requirements to comply with NETVENDOR in order for them to proceed with the payment(have proof of email). Please new applicants.... PLEASE RUN away from any housing community owned by this company. This Management Company is negligent, PERHAPS borderline corruption and should be federally investigated. They own thousands of properties, in the US and internationally, as well as the Far East; boasting online about having over 275,000 TENANTS. The largest property management company on the planet is also the largest crooks in the business. Don't ever rent from one of them. You get some good people in management, but they pay them so little (even compared to other companies) that it's a constant revolving door. They also stretch them so thin and often have managers working two different properties in one week, so they are a) never available and b) too overworked to care. This company employees people who lie. Refuse to call back or work with clients unless you give in to their demands. Will send out a **** without any explanation why and demand you pay them, then refuse to speak to you. Very unprofessional. Multiple emails and calls have gone unanswered. I have no faith that this company will do as they claim they will and anybody looking to rent from them should look elsewhere.
