forget emergencies – Forget about seeing anyone in the practice if you have any kind of allergic reactions, or emergencies. You have to wait for weeks to get an appointment. The appointment staff isn't easy to talk to either - they make you feel like the last thing they want to do is make an appointment for you, and there's a whole litany of things they'll tell you that insurance doesn't cover even before you tell them what you are calling about. I like the doctor we've seen, and it seems like the office/appointment situatio... read more

Bad expereince – Like other patients I was made to wait beyond my scheduled apppointment and then again inside the examining room. It appears this practice has no respect for the patients time. Patients have appointments and schedules and committments of tiem as well. The front desk ladies when asked why it takes so long to be consulted say that they are not responsible for schedules but I suppose to collect money. I wasted a week worth of tests with no results and diagnosis not to mention my valuable time. Keep away from th... read more

GREAT PRACTICE !!! – I live north of Raleigh and I travel 40 miles for my daughters to be treated at this practice. The doctor that sees my girls is absolutely WONDERFUL! When I say daughters I don't mean teenagers I mean kids. They are wonderful with kids! My kids are 8 and 11 now, but they started seeing the doctor several years ago. Like any other mother I am very hesitant on who treats my kids. Now that I found a great doctor I won't leave unless the doctor does. I have never had any problems with the practice in Raleigh... read more

Great practice - don't understand negative reviews – I have never had anything but positive experiences with this practice. I've never had to wait long at either the Raleigh or Cary locations and they physicians I have seen have all been wonderful. They really take the time to listen to your concerns, discuss all treatment options and answer any questions you may have. The check-out ladies at the Raleigh office do not have the most bubbly of personalities, but they are able, quick and thorough.

Horrible..... – Nothing excuses sitting on a malignant melanoma biopsy results for 4 days. The staff appeared to be very uncaring. I did not receive a thorough explanation of what to expect and one would think a phone call to be sure that the patient had taken care of the malenoma would be in order. None of that. I was told to see them again in 6 months, but after working with Cary Skin I was told that I needed to see a dermatologist every 3 months for the next couple of years. I did get a followup call when I called the off... read more

The most thorough, caring dermatologists in Raleigh – Very compassionate and competent group of female physicians and a top notch staff. Would refer anyone to any of these fine physicians. If you wait a little for your appointment, rest assured that you will find that the thorough care you receive is well worth the wait. If you ever have a concern, share it with the doctor or a staff member and it will be received as constructive criticism and action will be taken! I love this practice and take issue with the less the less-t... read more

Superior Care – Dr. Alspaugh is both compassionate and thorough. She always is professional. I visit her yearly, and both of my children have seen her. She treats all of us , but especially my teenage daughter, with gentle confidence that our 'problems' were managable.

Felt like a number... – I wouldn't say that this practice is bad, they are just too busy. You do wait at least a half hour in the waiting room and another half hour once you are in a room. You do feel like a number. The doctor I saw was nice/friendly and sincere in wanting to help with my problem. So far, I've been twice and I am still having the same issue. So don't expect a quick cure. At check out, I also had a rude experience. BOTH times, the lady was on a personal call and seems very bothered that I was interrupting her... read more

Impersonal facility and staff. – After waiting 1 hour+ in the waiting room, I was sent to a room where I was treated by an overzealous doctor. She examined me but after determining that a few of my moles were "questionable", she was quick to offer to cut them out for an exorbitant per mole fee. After talking to others, it seems they are a little scalpel happy and enjoy cutting every little thing out of people. In summary, unless you enjoy letting a doctor take advantage of you and the health care system by cutting away unnec... read more
