Good Quality Plants, a Tad Overpriced I have always gotten good quality plants and flowers from Blue Mount, but they are a little overpriced. If I don't have a coupon from the paper or it's big planting season, I try not to go because it gets very crowded and costs so much. I did however get some reasonably priced slate pieces for my yard arrangement, and had my pick. The delivery was prompt and came when expected. Another downside is that when it gets crowded, it's hard to find employees to help you.
Horrible Customer Service For A Premium Price - Let Them Know It's Not OK!! I've lived in this area for 13 yrs and have repeatedly given this business a chance to earn my business as i'm literally minutes from them and every time I leave I swear it will be the last time. I've never dealt with a ruder group of people. Their prices are outrageous and all the signage that they have up clearly show that they have zero trust in their customers. Blue Mount Nursery has good quality stock. I love this place. Good healthy stock. Quick delivery and helpful staff. I've purchased 40-45 shrubs, many annuals and the quality is the best in the Northern Virginia area that I shop. Wish they still carried bulbs.
Autumn Festival is Not What It Sounds Like The "Autumn Festival" at Blue Mount Nursery charges $7 per child and $3 per adult. It is comprised of a moon bounce, a few slides, a climbing tunnel playhouse, and a maze. While entertaining for the kids for a little while, the fun quickly runs out as does your wallet. $20 for a family of four was NOT money well spent.
BUYER BEWARE We purchased a large amount of shrubbery and trees from Blue Mount Nursery to landscape our back yard. Within that large purchase were four (4) arborvitae topiaries. Upon delivery, the delivery person dumped the entire order in our driveway. When asked whether he could put the trees and flowers in the back yard, he replied, âHow much are you willing to tip me?â Distressed I told him to leave everything where it was, in the driveway. pleasantly surprised I have been living in Ashburn for the last 15 years, and just started shopping at Blue Mount Nursery this summer. I wish i would have taken the time to stop in to look before this year. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much they have. extremly helpful and friendly I've bought from Blue Mount for years and have never had any issues there, only pleasant interactions. When i need recommendations i take in pictures of the area in my yard and they are more than helpful. Blue Mount's prices are sometimes higher than other garden centers, but plant quality seems to be higher as well. It's also nice to know that whenever I have a diseased or bug infected plant i can take a leaf into them and they are able to help me both identify and control the issue. I also lov... read more
Not the best nursery This isn't the best plant nursery that I've seen. The plants here are quite expensive too. The people are helpful, but if you really want your money's worth I would pick another nursery. The only time I shop at this one is after the holidays when they put things on sale, otherwise I generally drive the extra distance to go elsewhere.
Who's Minding the Store? These are penny-pinching days with the economy in dire straits, so when a plant dies after just a couple days (it was not placed outside or abused in any way) one would expect a responsible seller. When a manager was summoned, he did not show up and I had to look for him in the nursery. When I approached him about my dead plant (with my receipt in hand), he was indifferent and would not replace or provide credit--no restitution whatsoever.
