The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very eclectic. Had a great meal in a very relaxed setting. Would recommend it to anyone.

Love this restaurant.. One of my all time favorites, we love going theere for Sunday brunch, sit on the terrace by the water.. We always go there with some of our friends that french chefs and they all love this Jewel of Connecticut. I often want them to get the recognition they deserve in CT, for being the first vegetarian restaurant, and for the culinary skills, but also their welcoming into their "home". The food was extremely delicious, the atmosphere reminds you of home and the service the friendliest you will receive. I would say it's like going home for dinner but in this day in age that's rare. So it was very gratifying to get all of what I described in one place. Definitely going back.
I went for the first time last evening, and was so impressed with the food and the friendly folks running the restaurant. I had the black bean tostadas and they were delicious. I'll definitely visit again!
Everything about Bloodroot is great. There is nothing else that even comes close. Nourishment and healing in a magical location.
Not only is the food great but one cannot beat the view! A true gem tuck away in a quiet neighborhood. Nothing locally compares.
