We specialize in ethnic vegan and vegetarian cooking. To appropriately make use of local ingredients, our menu changes regularly to reflect the seasons. we welcome your visit!

So disappointing to know that a food establishment and feminist book store that I always enjoyed going to and appreciated their presence in the community basically preaches that they only support certain women. Bloodroot has openly stated with pride that they are TERFs (trans exclusionary feminists) and I will no longer eat there. What a disappointment. We will have to create better spaces for ALL women in the future in CT but Bloodroot has proved it will not be a part of that.
Bloodroot is exclusionary towards transgender people, making them feel unwelcomed in what's supposed to be a comfortable space. I will never visit again and recommend that you do the same.
Don't support a business with openly transmisogynistic owners. If you don't support trans women you are literal trash and NOT feminist.
Unfortunately Bloodroot is run by people who operate it based on an openly trans women-exclusionary philosophy, which actively harms all women including trans women. I hope they are able to move through their discriminatory, anti-feminist mindset, and join the trans-affirming intersectional feminist community.
