I always enjoyed eating here. I even have one of their cookbooks! However, I recently learned that the owners are TERFs, that is they are feminists who do not consider trans women to be "real women". This is unacceptable. Unless feminism is intersectional and inclusive, it's a waste of time. So disappointing.

Transphobia is not feminist. 'Women born women only' rhetoric is transphobic. Cissexism is rooted in patriarchal and misogynistic philosophy. Transmisogyny is still misogyny. How dare you defend the transphobic statements made by your employees?
I will not be supporting a business that pretends to be feminist and then openly speaks against trans women to customers. Bloodroot's ridiculous online responses to valid criticism from the trans community have made it abundantly clear to me which side of history they want to stand on, so they and their overpriced food certainly won't be getting any of my business.
