First time so happy with my visit. The front desk staff were amazing. Heidi and Dr Joe are so special my rescue Odie was calm and loved them. I was so surprised how well he took to them. Found my vet. Love it. So friendly helpful and I highly recommend them.
A super long story short, Blackhawk was so incredibly kind and patient with us this week while we debated on a proper path of care for our sweet baby. He used to be a stray but he's warmed up to us a lot in the past few months. We noticed was limping the other day and Blackhawk was able to get him in immediately yesterday. After blood work, we learned he has feline leukemia and we struggled for hours with what to do. Our Nala is our fur baby and our heart and everyone at Blackhawk Vet understands that. Not once or twice have they had to deal with us as protective parents and every time we are treated with respect! Love everybody there! They are the best. When Nala had surgery they even sent me pictures of her so I could see she was doing okay. � They would also call and check on her. The staff here is great! They are always ready to help and do whatever they can. I've had two times i had an emergency and they took it on without any issue.
My cat Casey never really had a vet since he was a kitten. I would get his rabies shot during the clinic at the fairgrounds and that would pretty much be it. 2 years ago he was not acting right, and Blackhawk was able to get him in for me no questions asked. Thankfully it was just a funk he was in at the time. Fast forward to now, and I have a sick baby again.
