I called last night in a panic after realizing that our dog has a significant neck wound and the staff at Blackhawk were more than willing to see us right away. I was very impressed with this because 1. It was 45 minutes before they were due to close and 2. We weren't a previous client. Once there, everyone was so kind and seemed very knowledgeable. It's safe to say that we wont be going anywhere else for our veterinary needs. Special thanks to Dr. Utrie! It's evident that he loves what he does.
We’ve been coming to Blackhawk Vet for about ten years. The staff has always shown kindness and compassion towards our animals, and they never push for treatment one way or another. I like that I can ask Dr Utrie what he would do for his pet, and trust that the answer I’m getting is an honest one. We’ve only seen Dr Williams two or three times over the years, but he’s been warm and caring as well. We moved from less than five minutes away to an almost 30 minutes drive, but it’s worth it!
A huge thank you to Blackhawk Vet for their excellent care and compassion for my cat PJ and staying open late to finish his emergent surgery this week. They also provided excellent post-op care and monitoring. I am so grateful for the staff here and how they went above and beyond with their service.
We love Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital! They have been so good to us and our Chihuahua, Rico. Dr. Utrie saved Rico's life a couple of years ago by correctly diagnosing him with an intestinal disorder (that the emergency vet at another hospital couldn't find and who told us Rico would have to be put to sleep). Dr. Williams just recently operated on Rico's back leg for a torn meniscus, and the surgery was very successful. They are always so sweet to us and even sent us a video of Rico after his surgery. The staff was PHENOMENAL! When we decided to put our cat down, they were so kind and accommodating for my uneasiness! We received a card with his paw print, a clay mold, AND they donated a tree to be planted in his honor. This alone, I would recommend this clinic to EVERYONE!!!
I want to thank all of the staff at Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital for all your support when we euthanized our 20 year old kitty. We appreciate the love Chris and Corrine.
