Our dog of 14 years passed on Friday... during this incredibly difficult time, Blackhawk staff were professional and compassionate. What was a terribly sad time was eased for me so much by being able to be with her outside in the sunshine. I would like to extend the greatest heartfelt thank you to the staff and doctor at this clinic. When having to put our very first fur baby down (our first golden), they were the most kind and compassionate people, who walked us through everything so patiently and compassionately. The doctor confirmed it was time, so i didn't have to doubt for months after. No I do not recommend this place.
Dubious business practices. I was given a prescription for my cat. Though I requested liquid, the prescription was for pills. They told me if I had difficulty administering the pills they would let me return them and give me a prescription for the liquid instead. The practice of allowing customers to return prescription pills seemed odd to me, but I went with it. When I later told them I wanted the liquid instead, they initially refused to refund me for the pills. After some back and forth, they issued a refund and told me I... read more
So thankful they were able to get our lab in tonight for an emergency after she was bit by another dog and required stitches. We had to leave her there for a few hours because she needed sedation. We could not go in due to the covid-19 situation but the vet called us personally himself to let us know what kind of treatment she would need, the cost, and how long it would take before he started.
