The Chicken stuffed with bacon collard greens and heirloom tomato salad with balsamic reduction was so delicious!! Please make this a regular menu item!!!
Food was really good. Building is nice. Service needs more training. Dropping dirty silverware on us while clearing adjacent table (no apology). Clearing our plates without asking and with food still on it and even mid bite. General attitude of servers wasn't inviting.

Loved the bison Reuben... Such a delicious sandwich and the fries are my all time favorite :) will definitely be coming back!
Some friends and I went there to celebrate an occasion, and everything was amazing. Service, food, atmosphere... All of it. I can't wait to dine again!
Was in town on business and my Uber driver suggested Black Sheep. Great atmosphere! The building is historical and very interesting. Menu is new American but very unique in its own way. The Duck Fat Fries are a solid choice but the winner of the night for me was the Walleye Nuggets! They are coated in Captain Crunch!!!! Finished out with a Triple Berry Creme Brulee that was perfect!!! Definitely worth a visit!
Best thing to happen to the Cedar Rapids food scene. The head chef came out during our meal and wanted to make sure our experience was enjoyable. Such great people with genuine concern about us having a memorable time.
I'd say if you want to eat - this is not the place for it! With a couple of minor exceptions - the food was bland. The Reuben was poor quality, I have had much better. The drinks were okay but not outstanding. The service was not friendly and reeked of arrogance! When we came we were initially ignored, then we were told that we could not eat dinner until 5pm, and that we could not sit at the booth regardless that all the booths were empty. Hi Anna, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your experience, but you came in before the kitchen was open for dinner. I greeted you at the door the moment I saw you walk in, offered you a seat and when you asked for a booth, I immediately sat you in one- rearranging reservations just for you. I assure you the bison is of exceptionally high quality as is the red dragon mustard cheese, pickled locally grown kohlrabi -but certainly not your typical Reuben. great food and great environment. Had the Bison steak, my wife the scallops, father the catfish and his wife a burger. All was quite good.
Went with several family members. We sampled several of the appetizers, which were all delicious. The Walleye nuggets were amazing. I had the chicken and it was moist with perfect flavor. The service was excellent, as was the atmosphere. The dessert was out of this world fabulous.
