I was on vacation with my family and we wanted a place we could all go (9 of us total) to have a good meal. This ended up being that place! After calling another place and being treated terribly, we decided to try Black Pelican. We love this place! It's a must for us every year. I had Fisherman's Risotto...amazing!!!
I attended with friends. Had always wanted to go there and was glad to be able to with them. The food was delicious and the place was full, but then every time I pass by there the parking lot is full. I had the bacon wrapped scallops and they were amazing. Our waiter was great!
The deck is the the place to be....not so much with the downstairs. Could not get down there. She crab, burger, fries, shrimp n'grits& grilled Mahi all to die for! Glad we didn't leave and decided to go upstairs!
Black Pelican catered my wedding a few weeks ago and they were AWESOME!!! The catering staff and manager Nicole I believe was her name went above and beyond their catering services and did a phenomenal job! I can't express or thank enough to show how well they did and how grateful I am for having them!! THEY WERE THE GLUE THAT HELD MY WEDDING TOGETHER!!! Great food, friendly staff and an awesome atmosphere. I recommend when in the OBX you try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
Flounder, shrimp, crab cake was excellent with the cocktail sauce having a nice little bite but the green beans needed seasoned. Wife had clam bake and she agreed. Great meal but veggies needed seasoned. Pies were awesome.
The Cobia and Swordfish platter is the best on the coast!! Great food and great atmosphere, you can't beat it!
