The wait wasn’t long, the food was EXCELLENT, I had the bacon wrapped scallops!!! The service was great, but the room where our table was, was extremely hot, that’s why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5!!!!!
You can never go wrong with eating at the Black Pelican. Always great service great food I'm just hoping they put the potato cakes on the menu full-time as a side dish

Some of the best seafood from coast to coast! Highly recommend eating there!! The only negative is that the margaritas were served in a plastic cup w no salt.
This was my 1st visit...the food was delicious !!! We are definitely coming back !
My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary with dinner. We had the Oysters Orville as an appetizer, the shrimp and crab bake and prime rib as our entrees. We shared an apple crisp for dessert. The food was amazing and we had the nicest waitress! Will definitely come back for another visit!!
Pasta shrimp/scallops, soft shell crab/oysters and flounder/shrimp dinners were delicious ..... our waitress was so sweet and provided us with great service..... we will go back again soon
The wait staff was great. Need more draft option on outdoor patio. My wife got the risotto and was underwhelmed by the flavor. She said it was just “ehh”. I got the fried flounder and shrimp. The shrimp were small, but tasty, The flounder was flavorless. I added the crabcake and that was delicious. Had one beer and she had water and the bill was still $85. Just not worth it to me to go back when I can go to numerous other restaurants and pay 2/3 the price and enjoy, in my opinion, a better meal.
Long day of driving ended with our 39th anniversary - dinner at Black Pelican. It's our favorite place to eat at OBX, and not the first time we've celebrated our anniversary with them. Great food and great service, as always. Thank you for desert <3. We will see you again soon.
