They have changed property managers 3 times since I moved in and Ive only lived there for 2 1/2 months. It is ridiculous. Its a great place just a lot more trouble than its worth. Go somewhere else if you can. If I had known that there were going to be that many issues about rent and power I would not have moved in myself. The specials were just so good at the time. Now...its just bullsh**.
Horrible place to rent. Stayed there 1 year, had my water service cut off 3 times (water is included in the rent). This complex has run down in the last several years, a lot of hard living type people living there now, most of the professionals have moved out. Unreliable management, had 3 apartment managers in one year. DO NOT RENT HERE.
I am so glad I didnt get an apartment here! My husband and I took a tour of one and laughed... our tv wouldnt even fit in the tiny apartment! We now have a 3 bedroom apartment (that is 1500sf)at cardinal pointe for the same price as a 2 bedroom over at birch pond! and besides cardinal pointe has lawn care men that come every week that maintain the apartment grounds. We love living at CARDINAL POINTE!!!

well....birch pond apartments, might not be all that glorious and luxerious...but i like it, i havent seen any kind of crime...(knock on wood)...but it is descent enough for me and my family to live in. there is a swimming pool, and a small fitness room, but then again, most people woudl go to the gyms in shallotte...since the owner/manager has taken over since last year, things have been looking great compared to before...these guys that are out here, wrk there hardest to keep it clean, but like most tenants that live here,... read more

The apartments are affordable and cute but the people they let move in here are questionable. Very loud and disrespectful college students that live here on the schools dime. They throw trash in the parking lot and play thumping music at all hours of the night. I have had the cops here because of my neighbors 6 times in 14 days. Management doesnt think that is cause to investigate them either...I like the place but some of the people make it a horrible place to live.
This place is well managed and clean, has good facilieties. No place is better in Shallotte. Had to write, the last comment is way off base.
im sorry but the place is aweful. the trash: rediculous. dumpsters always overloaded so everyone throws it on the ground. grounds crew takes takes to clean up trash throughout. felt hazerdous to my health at times. promised a dumptster in the new area: never happened as of 6 months ago. got plastic speed bumps instead. i was glad when that term agreement was over. loudness always after 9 pm, management is there but never solutions to the table.
