About this business
Big Lug was established by Eddie Sahm and Scott Ellis in 2015 after they decided to devote all their time and energy towards their passion of brewing. Big Lug's Canteen is a friendly neighborhood restaurant and brewery which functions as a watering hole for the locals. All the beers that you see on their rotating tap are brewed on-site, while the bread and sauces are made from scratch in the kitchen. All meats and produce are bought from farmers and purveyors located within the state of Indiana.

Came for the wing challenge. Won a tshirt. Ordered a burgermeister recommended by server. It was terrible, no onion lettuce or tomato…. until I asked. They said they would switch out the sandwich and we paid over 150$ for our meal for 3 people. Took another 45 mins to get them to remake a sandwich, to go. Made us talk to a manager to explain the situation. At this point it was very frustrating as we had a sitter and hours had gone by with very little resolution.

Living next to this place is a NIGHTMARE, they constantly have trucks delivering food and other supplies between 5-6am during weekdays AND weekends. Average is 3-4x per week. Management has been addressed over 5 times and this continues being an issue. Tried to talk to them to coordinate logistics for years. Eddie said "They were here first, since 2020". I moved in 2023.
