Big Lug was established by Eddie Sahm and Scott Ellis in 2015 after they decided to devote all their time and energy towards their passion of brewing. Big Lug's Canteen is a friendly neighborhood restaurant and brewery which functions as a watering hole for the locals. All the beers that you see on their rotating tap are brewed on-site, while the bread and sauces are made from scratch in the kitchen. All meats and produce are bought from farmers and purveyors located within the state of Indiana.

I absolutely love the Hippie Gumbo, and my finance always orders the shrimp goddess salad and adds bacon.
Big lug canteen serves the most amazing Nashville style wings. The atmosphere has the fun vibe in the evenings. We ordered Nashville style wings with garlic, habanero dressing. Wings were flavourful and the spice level hit the spot. They have unique toppings for wood fired pizza. I ordered a tropical chorizo pizza, oh boy it was really something different than the regular pizzas. The combination of mango, chorizo made it unique, the dough was light and really fresh.
