Big Lug was established by Eddie Sahm and Scott Ellis in 2015 after they decided to devote all their time and energy towards their passion of brewing. Big Lug's Canteen is a friendly neighborhood restaurant and brewery which functions as a watering hole for the locals. All the beers that you see on their rotating tap are brewed on-site, while the bread and sauces are made from scratch in the kitchen. All meats and produce are bought from farmers and purveyors located within the state of Indiana.

The food at Big Lug is delicious. Try their Green Goddess dressing! It is to die for! My favorites are the potato bacon pizza with Green Goddess sauce and the chicken cranberry wrap. Another favorite side dish are the Brussel sprouts with hit honey. Yum! This place is fun and the service is fantastic. Love the staff and managers!
Great beer and a friendly and knowledgeable bartender. The food arrived quickly and the portions were good.
Loved the atmosphere! Great food and service! It is a little hidden behind some other businesses. Easy to pass by and miss out!
Big Lug has fantastic food! But they really push their beer. I really didn't like their beer, and I think they should carry some domestic beer. And a tiny margarita was $11. But the food was great and we had great service. Atmosphere? It looked a little kiddish if you know what I mean.
Just discovered this amazing place. The food was excellent, and they have new specials every 2 weeks. Happy hour menu from 330-500.
