Had food from Big Herm's delivered to my work today it was the first time I had ever had food from here and man was it DELICIOUS! I cannot say enough good things about the food and the owners of this place! My favorite was the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans!! Will definitely be eating here again!

All this food is just a big ol hug on my soul. Whoever Big Herm is or was, I thank God for them. I don’t even eat fish like that, but the catfish I had today was a blessing and the whole plate was just full of love.
Staple restaurant in Jackson Ward. If you haven’t been here then you haven’t been to Richmond. Get the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and be content in knowing you found a golden nugget in a city of already amazing food.

The staff is amazing. From the cooks to the lady at the counter to Big Herm. Always a pleasant experience and they even notice if I haven’t been by for a minute!!!!
O M G... Best food delivery decision ever!!!!... If you haven't tried it, do it... This man makes his own tartar and cocktail sauce 😱 I mean who does that???? I got a seafood platter and some collard greens. I could currently slap anybody's mama that needs it 😂 Seriously sooooooo good. I might explode. If I do have him cater the funeral 😉
We finally made it and were not disappointed. Simple. Delicious. I had the oyster po boy and the oysters were cooked to perfection. The portions were generous. I don't know what the hell they put in their mac n' cheese, but that was legit. We'll be back.
My staff all got lunch here yesterday and we all loved our food. I got the catfish sandwich with collards and was very impressed. The collards were crazy salty but they had the best flavor of any I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely be going back!
