Beware of the crazy old lady at Big Al's! I thought I was the only person who got stalked by that crazy old lady! I moved to Simi Valley 3 years ago and Big Al's was the closest pet supply store. I had been going there for months and then one day, I took my little dog with me and here comes this old lady who asked if I needed any info about a product so I thought she was nice. Big Al's Pet store is nothing but great I grew up in simi and we shop at Big Als, we LOVE June who clips the pets nails. We also have never been bothered by anyone at the store and the people there have always been helpful. I don't know what "crazy old lady" people are talking about. We have been going there for MANY years. I also have never been spoken down to or told I was a bad "pet parent" as some of you call it. We have been treated nothing but nice there and think everyone else is crazy.
Big Al's....TWO CRRRRAAAAZY LADIES!!!. I have always found what I needed, and if not, sales folks were always available to assist me or offered to order the product. Big Al's Pet Food Warehouse is not as good as it seems. I saw Big Al's ad in the paper and thought I'd try it out. I was very surprised and the selection of items for pets. The workers are friendly and helpful. However, after looking more closely, the prices there are outrages and extremely high. If you shop around you can get the same things cheaper at PetSmart, PetCo, Walmart or Target. What a shame. They'd be a big hit in Simi if they had competitive prices. Big Al's Pet Food Whse. I don't know why, but every time I go into this store they seem to be bothered by the fact that I need help or need to pay for merchandise as they'd rather be doing anything else but helping customers. I had to endure the whole story from one employee of how impressed she was with herself that she raised show dogs, when all I wanted to do was pick up a new leash and collar for my own dog. Big Al's Did Me Wrong This place is not what i thought it to be. They sold me on the frequent buyer program for food. When i went in to purchase my 6th bag of food they told me that they lost my frequent buyer card, then said i must of had another family member come in and take it cause they changed there program. Big Al's Pet Food Warehouse is great besides sue the manager The Female manager at this store is the rudest, loudest most irritating person i have ever met. She was yelling at an employ when i walked in the store and was still yelling when i walked out. Why any one would keep a horrible person like that working at their store is beyond me!
