Very sad...was so happy to have a music spot run by people of color. Dressed up, drove 35 min for our reservation Wednesday only to arrive to find out that they had cancelled all reservations due to the crowd with not even a courtesy call. Not my problem...professionals handle that with class not with an "oh well...too bad"! Didn't offer us anything...drink, water nothing! just too bad so sad. I attended the NYE Gogo party and wish I'd kept my money! I've visited Beyu more times than I can count, and was beyond disappointed by the lack of customer service and professionalism my husband and I experienced from the time we entered the door. We arrived promptly at 10pm. People were mostly standing and a few others were seated along the far right wall. We attended the early New Year's Eve dinner. Dinner- all three courses- was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh, & every meat, vegetable, fruit, & dessert had its own distinct taste. Give our best to the musician, who really played well. The hostess was very kind, & accommodating. Dorian visited every table, ,& brought entrees to clients while making us feel at home. Best part? Wednesday night open Mic is so much fun. People dancing, singing, enjoying each other. Food delicious but the shrimp and grits at $15 is way overpriced. Portion size does not equal the price. Bread pudding good. Definitely will return.
I had a blast for it being my first visit! Plan to return on next Wednesday as well!
Beyu Caffè on Wednesdays for Bretts Open Mic 8-11pm is so much fun! I recommend getting there early to enjoy the delicious food before listening and dancing to all of the music by the talented local artist. Each time I go I invite my friends and they bring there friends, now they have become regulars.
I've been several times and each time has been awesome. I love the atmosphere and the shrimp and grits is my favorite. The entertainment was awesome as well as the wait staff. Great place to visit
