The ER staff is rude, and snarky. They're ignorant towards patients, and don't seem to take patient concerns seriously. They let patients get upset, and then ignorantly smirk and think it's a laughing matter. And the security staff here is terribly rude as well, the guys just stand around and crack jokes/make comments about patients to each other. Definitely unacceptable. Excellent cardiovascular surgeon. Awful food service. Bad bedside manors for icu. Non existing wifi.
This is not a review of BIDMC themselves but of how they go about cold calling patients. I just got a call from a number I didn't recognize claiming to be from Beth Israel. The person on the phone asked me to give her several items that could be used to prove I'm the person on the phone, to which I responded with "I'm not giving that information out until you prove to me that you're really from BI".
