Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Bern's Stake House is simply phenomenal, incredible service, the food is spectacular and the all experience par none...be back for sure, i strongly reccomend it for any occasion...that is if you want to look and feel lile a king.
I make a point to bring friends from out of town and those new to Tampa to Bern's for THE experience and it has never disappointed. As always, very pleased with the service, food, history, tour and best desserts ever.

The best steakhouse in Tampa! Fun experience, delightful food and a great value.
This is not a restaurant it's an institution who's original creator was a visionary in so many ways. Kitchens look like they do because he did it first, wine list mostly aspire to live up to what he created when he did it (some do now). This is one of the bucket list destinations!
The service was wonderful. My waiters were both very attentive and professional. The food was pricey, but delicious. I would definitely return

I was visiting from Mt Juliet, TN with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter and they took me to Bern's for a belated birthday dinner. Service was excellent, steak would melt in your mouth, everything was great. Then we went to the dessert bar upstairs and had the best desserts. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and birthday celebration.
