Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Food was good not sure it was $300 good, but was a nice special dinner for the wife.
Everything was amazing and I highly recommend if you're in the Tampa area you stop in for dinner..

Fantastic service, Blake was great. The food was all very delicious. I didn’t like the table they chose for us. The guests seated next to us were very loud and we could barely hear our waiter. They were also yelling at times and it was quite annoying, but we still made the best of it and tried to enjoy ourselves. Overall, loved the experience and had a nice night out with my husband. We loved it.
Our server in the dining room, Harrison, was AWESOME! He had a PERFECT balance of professional and fun. He knew the menu, made us laugh through the entire experience, and made us feel like we were his only table! PHENOMENAL! Our dessert room server (didn't get his name) was super fun and responsive. He knew his stuff and when we were like "I like 'x'" he immediately had 3 or 4 things to suggest... and it was SPOT ON! This was my 3rd trip (in about 20 years)... and every time it was spectacular!
This was our first time at Bern's Steakhouse. What a beautiful evening we had. From the soup, salad, loaded baked potato and perfectly prepared filet, it was delicious. Next we were taken on the tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. Very impressive. Lastly we made it upstairs to the dessert room. So Good!!! Service in both the dining and dessert room was great, very attentive. The tours guides were very friendly. Always a fabulous experience. My main man Kurt always aims to please, he even had a birthday gift for the Misses when we came in. That’s something we’ll forever cherish in our collection gallery. Food is always perfection, service is always spot on with great conversation to boot.
Steak had absolutely no flavor. Everything else was very good.
There is no place like home .... my restaurant HOME !! Best in the World ... and we had the pleasure of NOW our favorite waiter ... Kurt !!! Such a wonderful addition to the perfect level of service
