Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

This place serves amazing food! My husband and I go there for special occasions, most recently our anniversary. We eat earlier than most (5:00), so we’re always seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The valet parking guys must be in amazing shape because they seem to always be running so that you aren’t waiting all night for your car. The check-in hosts/hostesses are blah, but the ones that seat you are usually friendly and engaging. So many great things to say about Bern’s. Over Christmas we were lucky enough to win a Facebook contest. They paid for our room at the Epicurean Hotel. We had a great stay and amazing dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection and the only thing wrong was that we couldn’t finish everything on the table. Bern’s has helped us build many great family memories. Lots left to celebrate in life and can’t wait to return to Bern’s.
