Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

As always....epic evening
An experience like none other. Outstanding and patient staff that explains everything and makes suggestions according to your questions. The tour of the kitchen and wine cellar is not to be missed. My steak had the exact crisp I was looking for and the taste was very good. The Harry Waugh dessert room was extraordinary and loved all of the wood. Very pricey but a great once in a while splurge.

This is the perfect place for celebrating. The food is always delicious and the service is always superb. You’ll never leave Bern’s dissatisfied.
Our server Gil was totally phenomenal The food was awesome but because of Gil and his service I will travel back there from Sarasota again.
