Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Bern's Steak House is simply amazing. The food, service and ambience is outstanding. We have been going to Bern's Steak House for 5 years. We have never had anything but the most tender, juicy, delicious steaks and side items. We like how soup, salad, potato and side items are all included in the price. We have had two waiters, Brett and Spencer. Brett has been our waiter 8-9 times we have been to Bern's. He is outstanding and highly recommended. Best steakhouse on the planet. The most/best selection of wine, most courteous servers, unreal value, and amazing desserts. I want to move to Tampa just to eat here on a weekly basis!

The food was absolutely amazing and the services was too! Desert is to die for. We had the Macadamia Nut Sundae and it was gorgeous!!! Definitely recommend!

To Susan and Marcy and your one star rating. I have never been to Burns and I only live up the road in Gainesville, but I will tell you that their reputation is impeccable and legendary. It seems to me that your one star rating is so unfair because your accommodation could not be adjusted to add a ninth person to your eight person reservation. It seems that Burns was concerned about others who had reservation's and there policy with chair placements wasn't something they felt could be adjusted. Anyhow as a business owner too... read more
