Berkeley is the place to go for your optical needs. After my cataract surgery I couldn't find a store that would take my Medicare. Medicare will replace your eye glasses after cataract surgery. I went to Berkley and within ten minutes had my benefits OK'd, helped me pick out a frame and I was on my way. Very efficient from start to visit.
I'm writing this review for my mom who had eye surgery here in 2015. The Dr's in yhe office that do the follow ups kept telling her to give it some time and her vision would be okay. Here we are 6 months later and she is having to spend thousands of dollars to see retina specialists because Dr. Caplan will not help. She already spent thousands on Dr. Caplan and he hasn't stood behind his surgery. After surgery her vision is at 70/100, which is worse than before surgery. They will not offer her any correction for their mistak... read more

I would highly recommend Berkley Eye Center, and specifically Dr. Momeni and Dr. Caplan. My experience with lasik was interesting- I had 3 consultations with various Drs and other surgery centers, very happy I chose Berkley to do my procedure. From the front office manager to the surgery Dr, everyone who works there is phenomenal and genuinely cares for you as a patient. Mixed Experience The people at Berkley are very friendly and indeed care about their clients. I am in my late thirties and very healthy so it was a surprise there were complications with my procedure (PRK, which is like Lasik). But when it comes down to the contract make sure you understand if things don’t go as planned you are still subject to the terms of the contract. Berkley Eye Center is wonderful. No long waiting. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Very clean clinic. Our doctor is Dr McCauley. He is such a good Dr. We just admire him so much. He has been a real blessing. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
