A Favorite... – This restaurant has been a favorite for years. The goat cheese appetizer was fantastic! Don't forget to visit the lounge upstairs.
Chocolate Cake is a Girl's Best Friend! – Fellas- interested in a little lovin' with your date after dinner? DON'T SKIP DESSERT! Well- not here. This chocolate cake has been scientifically proven to yield the same results as that 24Karat gem sitting in Tiffany's window, but only a few grand less. Check please!
Great food, Great atmosphere – Just got back from my first trip to this establishment. The food was GREAT, well seasoned and very tasty. The service and presentation was excelent. My date and I were very impressed by the atmosphere and service. We were even allowed to sit and talk after dinner until we were ready to leave. The price was also very reasonable.
Disappointing – One of my college friends came into town and the last night she was here, I took her out to Benjy's. I had heard good things. We went in about 8:30 on a Monday or Tuesday night. Headed upstairs to the bar where we were ignored by the bartender who was talking to a couple sitting at the bar. Best Dinner We've Ever Had! – My husband and I dine at Benjy's once a month or so and never leave disappointed. We love how they change the decor and menu every few months and the waitstaff is always personable. Last night we dined w/ a large group and went with our waiter, Kent's, suggestions and "WOW" is all I can say! Great restaurant. – It can get crowded at times so reservations are in order. But we have been there a number of times and even during peak hours the food was great, the menu varied and the service excellent.
Good food and service, but a poor wine list. – I really love Benjy's - it's fun, classy, romantic, and the food is excellent. However, I don't know who made their wine list "award winning." There are few things on the by the glass list that are worth drinking, and now that they've gotten rid of the Au Beau Climate it is even harder to pick. It's tough to have such a great dinner with an $11 middle of the road glass of wine.
$500 per hour !! WOW and still be treated like POO!! – After having dined at this establishement for the last 4 years almost on a weekly basis I have to finally admit I will never return. One of the best in Houston! – My girlfriend and I went to benjy's to celebrate her birthday, she has been many times with her girlfriends, this was my first time. We arrived a little early, so we went upstairs to the lounge for a drink. The lounge is a cozy space to relax and have a cocktail or a glass of wine.
