Surgery went very smoothly, Dr Proto explains procedure very well and shows compassion, would recommend him highly.
Dr. Proto took his time and answered any questions I had before and after surgery. This was the end of the 9th week after surgery, and the foot is feeling fantastic & healing well. I highly recommend Dr. Proto!!

I met with Dr Proto a couple times to discuss potential bunion surgery on both my feet. He was polite and answered a lot of my questions. However, he led me to believe I would be back to normal in foot functionality at 6 weeks post-op which is far from the truth of my experience. I had surgery last November and it is now 10 months post-op and I still have weird tingling and nerve sensations at the incision site and my mobility in my big toe joint is greatly limited. Had extensive foot surgery earlier this year. Dr. Proto is a compassionate, caring and very knowledgeable doctor. He was very concerned with my recovery and even made sure I was able to reach him 24/7 since the surgery was much more serious than anticipated. Even several months later, he is still committed to assist in my continuing recovery in every way possible. I highly recommend him for foot and ankle issues!

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Benjamin Proto when I broke my ankle. He is very knowledgeable in ankle care and took time out to explain all he could on my level of understanding. Dr. Proto was very direct and clear in his plan for surgery on my severely broken foot. He let me know the level of pain afterwards, and the amount of recovery I would experience with the surgery. Their were many post op visits and a second surgery to remove multiple pins and plates. During each visit with Dr. Proto and his nurse Amy, I felt cared for with the level of pain I went through.
