Built in the 1860s, the castle remained a private residence until the 1940s when it opened as "The Manor" and allowed in visitors. Beardslee opened in its current incarnation in 1994. After a fight broke out outside in the driveway of this place and i attempted to try and help intervene with the situation i was told by the staff that I was the problem, even though i wasn't involved in the fight itself at all. Best non kobe filet mignon Ive ever had. Started eating here on my 17th birthday (now 13 years). By far my favorite fine dining place. Great atmosphere, great staff, in 50 plus meals with parties of 2-12 ive seen 1 mistake! Overcooked my filet with 3 mushroom gravy. Promptly replaces and apologized to by the bartender, server, chef/owner. Turned out to be the best filet ever AND they sent me home with the overcooked one so my boys got to enjoy a well done filet.
