BAY PINES HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS THE BEST ! I have been there twice for Colon Cancer & Skin Cancer operations. Both Successful as of today (going on 2 years plus) The Doctors/Surgens are the Best, as well as the Nurses, and staff. never a issue,or complaint from me....I highly recommend Bay Pines VA Healthcare system
Yes. I started going to this health care facility when I move to St Petersburg Fl, In 2016 . I have very very good care there in all areas. I truly love my veterans Bay Pines facility, although they changed the name, we all still call it Bay Pines Hospital. My primary care at The women’s clinic has been so awesome with all my spoken needs. All the test and the care of speciality clinics, also has been outstanding experiences for me !!! Been to several health care facilities in Pinellas County, and Pines is the best IMHO!
I went to the VA Healthcare Center in Cape Coral, Fl for a walk-in appt for my possible broken rib. Arrived at 0800 and we left at 1130. They did xrays, got motrin, and a rib brace. I am quite pleased with the care they gave me for not having an appointment.

Doctors seem very cold. Have been going to Urology for cancer of the bladder. Never get an explanation, instructions or any feedback whatsoever. Just receive the procedure and out the door. When appointments are made always get multiple phone calls contradicting the initial appointment. Told not to pay any attention to the initial appointment and a day later get a phone call stating a change or amendment. Very confusing. Need some doctors who see a deserving veteran rather than a body.
