I have been shopping there since I bought my first bmw a 1994 530i 5spd. At an auction many years ago It turn out that the original owner was also shopping there for this car so was I able to continue the tradition. But most important it was the technical advice I was getting from them that had made me still shop there. At the moment am restoring two e30 a 1985 318i and a 1990 325ic and am still shopping there.

I am so happy about BAV, finding information about my 540i isn'the easy I have a question , is my airbag light supposed to be on all of the time ? It has been on all of the time.

No, the airbag warning light should go off after the engine is started. If the light stays on, there is a stored fault code. You'll need to check the stored fault code(s) in order to know what may be at fault. You can then clear the code(s) and if it/they return ... address the issue. BavAuto does offer a code and reset tool for the airbag system
