If you are in the mood for a 1960s flashback, drop by at this neighborhood pub in the Hawthorne District. This hippie pub is the oldest McMenamins, been in operation since 1983. The psychedelic artwork and Grateful Dead atmosphere will entertain you and your friends for hours. Enjoy a game of pool or play one of the many supplied board games. Sit upstairs in the little balcony for a bird's eye view of the action. Order a pint of Hammerhead or other brews and enjoy daily specials such as Wilbur’s Jumbo Deluxe.

Had a nice late lunch/early dinner. We first went to the BMP in 1992, and time has stood still. It was a nice, quiet place to go with our young daughter.
The place is cool wait staff pleasant. But service was meh. And the food was terrible. I asked for an RC it arrived after my food and the food was inedible I ordered their specialty menu option TNT tenders and tots both were so over fried they simply went to dust as you tried to eat them. When I explained that it was no good they offered me my bill instead of fixing the issue won't be back.
Limited menu but still a great pub! Outdoor seating is a plus, too.
